Pete and his team descend upon Virginia for the first time to bring the tree house revolution to Bella Rose Plantation; drawing on the architectural innovations of Thomas Jefferson, Pete designs a luxurious two-story tree house with colonial columns. Pete Nelson runs his own business named Nelson Treehouse and Supply. Pete fell in love with treehouses as a child, after building a backyard tree fort with his dad at their home in New Jersey. In 2006, nelson and Judy opened their overnight treehouse retreat center, TreeHouse Point, to celebrate the grandeur of the Pacific Northwest with visitors from around the world. Pete and the crew build an Alpine-style treehouse for a Christmas-obsessed family. While there he worked at art galleries and ran a small gallery off campus, where he began to learn carpentry.
